Velorbis enters the Irish market in chic cycling style
Copenhagen, December 2009 – Velorbis, the creator of iconic and classic designer bicycles, was recently featured as a main exhibitor brand at the Cycle Chic Fashion Show at Cork City Hall, Ireland; the event where cycling, fashion and design were entwined as one concept.
Organised by Cork City Council in association with Cycle Chic, this annual event during Design Week in Ireland showcased cycling culture and educated the general public about how cycling is a practical, green, stylish and affordable transportation option.
The Cycle Chic Fashion Show reflected the spirit and street style from the cycling capitals of the world such as Copenhagen where cycling is an integrated part of everyday life and an essential accessory for contemporary, healthy living.
Velorbis’ principles and bicycle designs are built on the world-renowned Copenhagen cycle culture that is more than 100 years old. Velorbis exhibited a selection of its luxury bicycle icons such as its fire-engine lady in red Dannebrog model, funky Scrap Deluxe ladies model and the urban retro Churchill Balloon gents bike with distinctive brown Fat Frank tyres.
The influence and popularity of chilled-out cycle culture, carbon conscious travel and urban commuting is growing amongst the environmentally aware, fashion-forward consumers in Ireland. Velorbis is catering for this demand by linking up with Thinkbike, its new Velorbis dealer in Dublin, Ireland. Thinkbike is a perfect match for the Velorbis philosophy - promoting commuting by bicycle as an exciting leisure activity and the most effective and convenient solution to city transport problems.
